Spirit of Football e.V.

Welcome to Spirit of Football Germany in the Thuringian state capital Erfurt. As a non-profit association, we have promoted a culture of fair play since 2005, based on the three pillars of “diversity”, “respect” and “teamwork”. We use the power of football to bring people together and share positive stories about tolerance, peace and community with one another. We belong to a Spirit of Football family active in ENGLAND and BRAZIL.

Our philosophy is represented by a very special ball: “The Ball” which is football’s equivalent to the Olympic torch. Every four years it starts in London and crosses different countries to reach its destination, the Opening Ceremony of the FIFA World Cup. “The Ball” is about much more than football, though, because it the voice of our core values and the embodiment of the spirit of humanity.

We have developed our accumulated knowledge and our fair play culture in 15 years of working in schools and elsewhere. Our methodology, which combines sport, theater and art, has so far been used in schools and communities in over 50 countries around the world.
