One Ball: One World – Refugees welcome!

In this Spirit of Football seminar, students will be introduced to the work of our organisation and help to develop and realize integrative projects for refugees living in Erfurt.

Kick-Off:

We will start off with a mandatory weekend block seminar on 11.4.2015 (10am to 6pm) where students will get to know the mission and work of Spirit of Football and recieve an overview of the refugee situation in Erfurt.

Tactics and Team Talk:

Every 2nd Tuesday, starting on Tuesday 14 April, the pratical part of the seminar will take place at the home of Spirit of Football in the Wächterhaus, Talstr. 16 in Erfurt. Students will form working groups and research the refugee situation from different perspectives eventually resulting in the production of short and relevant term papers.

Game time:

Students will be required to join a minimum of 5 „Spirit of Saturday“ sessions, starting on Saturday 18 April, that will take place with refugees at locations across Erfurt every Saturday during the semester. Those sessions will initially take place at refugee „homes“ and will move quickly to other locations across Erfurt. We envisage football being accompanied by music, art, dance, yoga, as well as visits to cultural centres and possibly more.

***The seminar will be held in English and German.
