We have developed a variety of projects in the areas of integration and adult education.

Project: “Spirit of Welcome”

Our activities under the umbrella „Spirit of Welcome” aim to integrate refugees and migrants in Erfurt and its surroundings.

“Spirit of Culture Evening”

Once a week there is a meet & greet between refugees, migrants, students and other citizens of Erfurt at the Domizil Youth Club in Erfurt. Guests can cook together, eat together and play table football, table tennis, darts and other games or simply relax and enjoy each other’s company. On these evenings “Spirit” and students from its University Seminar provide an environment which promotes informal interaction and exchange.

Sports for Women

“Sports for Women” is a regular exercise and movement programme for female refugees, migrants, students and other citizens living in Erfurt. There are different activities (for example football, handball, fitness, dancing) for all, regardless if you are a sport enthusiast or not. The offer takes place once a week in a sports hall in Erfurt.

Project: International

Training of Trainers (ToT) in Jordan

In our 2 to 3 day workshops, participants (aid workers, refugees) working with refugees of all ages in the field of psycho social services get acquainted with our interactive methods (football, theater, art and others), games and activities. The knowledge they gain during the workshops benefits them in their own daily work in varying ways. The participants, working with diverse target groups (children, youth and adults, disabled people etc.) gain skills in activities for teambuilding and conflict resolution. The training is especially empowering for the women who receive it and the girls and women they work with. You can find out more by visiting the project’s blog here.

Project: University of Erfurt Seminar “Fundamental Studies”

In collaboration with the University of Erfurt, we have been giving students an insight into our work in our seminar each semester since 2006. We teach them about our philosophy and our methods once a week. They are then obligated to actively participate in our activities. Students appreciate the chance to move away from academic theory and express themselves working on practical real world tasks. You can find more information in the curriculum here.
